25 of the 55 horses entered in Knightwick will be making their debut in a British PtP if they run, surely this is a positive indicator of things to come?
I don't understand the negativity regarding the number of entries for Knightwick. The numbers are decent for a very early season meeting, particularly as there were problems with the online entry system. The participation rate for this meeting has been consistently high and there is no reason to suspect it won't be similar this time around. As Jim has posted, there are 20 more entered than for the corresponding fixture 2 years ago (when it last took place).
Can’t totally be blamed on the PPA. The meetings are not on the same day nor particularly close to each other. Knightwick is N to S relatively central but a very long way from the East. Dunsmore is a long way from most of the country and would need more local support. Presumably they have an idea whether there are enough SW horses up and running at this time of year to make it a good meeting? Not that there needs to be a lot of horses to make great racing, just a few horses that are well matched will do it.
I purposely didn't mention Dunsmore as I have never been and have no plans to go in the future. I do hope the meeting is a success for all involved though.
The PPA have made the season start later, meaning having 2 meetings on the opening weekend and this has caused the poor entry, sometimes you wonder what they are thinking....
Spellchecker obviously not in use on the Website 🙈

Nothing Wrong with the number of entries at Knightwick and each race looks very competitive pending decs of course so no short prices please books!

Who is planning to go ?
20 more entries than the last meeting here 2 years ago, hopefully both meetings will have good days to get things under way
Disappointingly only 55 horses and 12 are entered at Dunsmore.
Time Leader wins the open if he runs.
What are your thoughts on the entries ? The Open Looks interesting
